Varsity Head Coach
Erika Ford
Erika is entering her 1st season as varsity head coach at Walton High School. Erika has been teaching Special Education for 10 years -three years in Fulton, 6 in Forsyth County, and now her first year in Cobb County. She will continue to teach Special Education at Walton High School.
In addition to coaching volleyball at the high school level, Erika has been coaching at A5 Mizuno Volleyball Club for the last four years.
Before coming to Walton, Erika was a paraprofessional at Chattahoochee High School, where she coached three sports (volleyball, basketball, and lacrosse). Afterwards she carried her talents to Forsyth County where she was a varsity assistant for four seasons (2019-2023) at North Forsyth with the volleyball program, 6 seasons with the girls basketball team, and 4 seasons with the flag football program (3 as head coach). This past year she was at Roswell High School, where she served as their varsity volleyball head coach.
Erika started playing volleyball her freshman year at Chattahoochee High School as a middle and competed for a state championship her senior year.
Erika attended the University of Georgia on a full scholarship for basketball and obtained her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Science in 2011. Since then she has continued her education obtaining her Masters of Arts in Teaching in 2018 from Georgia State University majoring in Special Education Adapted Curriculum. In 2020, Erika furthered her education by obtaining her Educational Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont University.
Outside of coaching, Erika loves spending time with her dog, Basil; her cat, Nala; family, and traveling the world.
Varsity Assistant Coach
Lindsay Michaels
Coach Lindsay formerly coached for the Roswell Volleyball program as JV head coach and varsity assistant. St. Pius X Volleyball program at the Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity levels from 2018-2023. She has coached at A5 Mizuno the last three seasons and in the past coached at Tsunami- North. Coach Lindsay came to Atlanta in 2016 to study and play at Oglethorpe University and has stayed ever since.
JV Head Coach
Paeton Stoner
Coach Paeton played volleyball for Walton and A5 from 3rd to 12th grade. Coach Paeton was recruited to play for the Georgia State University volleyball program where she played for a year before transferring to UGA to focus more on her degree. She is now back in East Cobb coaching and finishing up her last few semesters before applying nursing school! We are excited to welcome Coach Paeton to the coaching staff.
