Marilyn Holmes
Marilyn graduated from Walton High School in 2011. She started in the Walton Volleyball program when she was 10 years old. She attended three volleyball camps from 5-7th grade. When she was 11 she was recommended to try-out for the brand new club A5. That year she made the first ever A5 13s team and played for A5 all through high school. When she was in 8th grade she made the first ever Royals team at Walton High School. Her freshman year at Walton she made the varsity team as the starting libero and continued with the program all 4 years. Marilyn's junior year her team was the runner-up 5A state champions. Her senior year the team brought home the gold for 5A!
Marilyn's achievements: Frosh 59, 2009 Runner-up state champions, 2010 state champions, All Area sophomore and senior year. All State senior year. AAU Nationals silver medalist.
Marilyn stared coaching last year working with Walton Volleyballs Rascals and LRIT teams. Then she went to coach at A5 as the assistant coach for the 12-2s. This year at Walton she is the head coach of our middle school Reds team and also helps out with the LRIT.
Right now she is attending Chattahoochee Tech with a major in accounting. During her off days she loves spending time outside with her friends or family. She loves going to the river and hiking with her dog Oscar.
Jenny Quan
Jenny graduated in the Class of 09' from Walton High School. She is a former member of the Lady Raider volleyball program. She played both middle and right side. She transferred from Kennesaw State University and earned an Associates in Arts in Psychology. She is currently pursuing her Nursing Degree at Georgia Highlands College.
This is Jenny's first year coaching! She is thrilled to help assistant coach both Reds & Rascals teams alongside her former teammates Marilyn and Sarah!
Fun facts about Jenny: She was born and raised in Cobb County, her father went to South Cobb High School. She was and is still very active in a lot of sports! She is also an Applied Behavior Analyst (ABA) certified with a focus is Autism.
