MAY 17, 18 --First tournament Cost: $75.00/team *Discount given to players who play in both divisions--they will pay only $40.00 to play in both divisions, both days. JUNIOR DIVISION--Awards to 3rd place OPEN DIVISION--Awards to 3rd place--CASH PRIZE based on total # of entries... **A percentage of the entry fees for each division will be applied toward the 1st place prize in each division. The more teams that enter, the higher the amount of prize money. Not to exceed $300.00 for first place or be less than $75.00 for first (in essence, the winning team in each division will win back their entry fee). Walton Varsity, JV, and Middle School Tryouts to be August 1st Walton Summer Volleyball Programs Now Open for Registration Great Programs for all ages are being offered by Lady Raiders Volleyball. Summary of Programs GRASS TOURNAMENT SERIES The Lady Raider Volleyball Program is proud to announce its Summer Grass Tournament Series. Teams of 3 will be admitted into the tournament. Maximum sign-up for each tournament is 60 teams. ($75/team per tournament) TOURNAMENT #1: May 17, 18 TOURNAMENT #2: June 7, 8 TOURNAMENT #3: July 19,20 ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMPS For rising 3rd to 8th graders, the earlier the athlete is exposed to the game, the better. Players will be separated by age and skills and tought at their level the fundamentals of the game and still have fun. ($200/team per session or $375 for both. 2007 Walton Booster Club members receive a $100 credit for each child attending the camp) SESSION 1: June 16 - June 19 9am-2pm SESSION 2: July 21 - July 24 9am-2pm ELITE RAIDER CAMP For rising 9th to 12th graders. Some younger players, by invitiation only. The camp will be run by Walton Head Coach, Suzanne Fitzgerald. She will be assisted by Linda Lager, former lady raider and member of the State Championship Team. This camp is designed for the advanced volleyball player who is searching for an opportunity to fine tune skills before tryouts. The camp also places heavy emphasis on intensity, teamwork and conditioning. All Athletes will need a completed physical and release form prior to camp. ($200. 2007 Walton Booster Club members receive a $150 credit for each child attending the camp) July 21 - July 24 5pm-9pm Twenty-Eight Walton Players join Travel Teams A large number of Walton volleyball players are continuing their skill improvement by participating in travel team volleyball this winter and spring. In total, twenty-eight players have been identified so far on teams. Seven have joined Cobb Atlanta. Six have joined North Atlanta. Twelve have joined A5. Three have joined Sky Volleyball. The pictures and their affiliation are below, with the exception of those I don't have a picture. Lindsay Carbo has joined North Atlanta's 14Blaze team. Katherine Franscioni(sp) joined Sky 13-1, Anne Yonda joined A5 14 Suzanne, and Celeste Fitzgerald joined A5 12 Dan.
